AEW Rampage spoilers from Hamilton: Ring of Honor World title match
The following are spoilers for this Friday’s AEW Rampage, which was taped in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, after Dynamite Wednesday. ITN WWE provided Rampage spoilers.
The pre-show featured a dark battle between hometown favorite Ethan Page and Preston Vance, who won.
The AEW Rampage:
- Matt Hardy and Brother Zay were defeated by QT Marshall and Johnny TV. After the match, the QTV team continued to harass Hardy and Zay, until Billy Gunn and Anthony Bowens came to their rescue.
- The Blade was defeated by Shawn Spears.
- Taya Valkyrie was defeated by Hikaru Shida.
- Claudio Castagnoli won the ROH World Championship after defeating Komander.
Notes:
- This was Komander’s first Ring of Honor title defense and Castagnoli’s sixth successful title defense.
- This was Spears’ first AEW bout since a house event in early June, and her first appearance on Rampage since April. He was a part of the company’s Toronto premiere in October of last year.
- Valkyrie and Shida were meeting for the first time.
- This was Johnny TV’s (John Morrison/Hennigan) first AEW in-ring match since a June 2022 episode of Dynamite versus Miro.
