The following are spoilers for this Friday’s AEW Rampage, which was taped in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada on Wednesday.

Before the start of Dynamite, AEW held two dark matches:

  • Taya Valkyrie was victorious. Lawless, Ava
  • Jason Geiger was defeated by Kip Sabian.

The AEW Rampage:

  • Izzy McQueen was defeated by Taya Valkyrie. Toni Storm and Saraya confronted Valkyrie after the contest. Storm accepted Valkyrie’s challenge to an AEW Women’s title match for Battle of the Belts. Storm eventually accepted to the battle, vowing she would humiliate Valkyrie in front of all her countrymen and family members in Calgary.
  • Trent Beretta (with Chuck Taylor) was defeated by Lance Archer (with Jake Roberts). Archer defeated Taylor and challenged Orange Cassidy for the AEW International championship at Battle of the Belts. Archer stated that if Cassidy did not come out, the Best Friends would perish. Cassidy emerged. Archer attempted to chokeslam Cassidy, but Roberts advised him not to because he wouldn’t be able to win the championship that way.
  • Mentallo was defeated by Konosuke Takeshita.
  • Willow Nightingale defeated Athena to reach the Owen Hart Foundation women’s tournament finals.

Notes:

  • Valkyrie and Lawless have previously wrestled in AEW, with Valkyrie taking a fast victory in a mid-March edition of Rampage. On Thursday’s ROH on HonorClub, Lawless will face ROH Women’s Champion Athena in a non-title match.
  • The finals of the women’s Owen Hart event will also be held in Calgary on Saturday. Ruby Soho advanced to the finals after defeating Skye Blue on Wednesday.
  • Archer’s first AEW appearance since a March Dark: Elevation victory. His most recent AEW TV debut was in February, where he defeated Rampage quickly.
