As per updates, there will be 2 kinds of alerts, the first one will take an action and the 2nd one will be for awareness. The motive of this alert will be to prevent the damage caused by the disaster.

Google has connected with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), Ministry of Earth Sciences and shortly this feature will be available for all. With this launch, we hope to give Android users immediate early warning notifications whenever there is an earthquake nearby. Be aware the alarm will be for an earthquake of magnitude 4.5 or higher and MMI 3 & 4 will shake while the MMI 5+ will ring if you take an action alert.

Users must enable Android Earthquake notifications and location settings, as well as have Wi-Fi and/or cellular data access to get notifications. When users enter search terms like Earthquake near me, the system also offers information via Google Search about nearby seismic events and safety precautions.
