Ansu Fati is coming off a somewhat ordinary 2022/23 season in which he lost his spot as a first-team regular.
Fati made only 12 La Liga appearances last season, trailing Raphinha, Ousmane Dembele, and Gavi in the pecking order. His problems have even sparked rumours that he could leave Camp Nou.
But, despite his uncertain future, Fati has embraced a new style by coloring his hair blonde.
Fati, who is known for his signature short black curls, will surely doubt surprise many Barcelona fans with his new hair color. On a more personal level, the attacker will hope that his new style will symbolize his return to the top.
The Spaniard has been hesitant to leave Camp Nou this summer. After a challenging season under Xavi, he is determined to stay and compete for a position in the first team next season.
Fati isn’t the only Barcelona ‘number 10’ to go blonde in recent memory. Lionel Messi famously colored his hair blonde at the start of the 2016/17 season. At the time, the Argentine claimed he wanted to “start from zero.”
Similarly, Fati will be seeking to make a fresh start and begin his comeback story for Barcelona during the forthcoming pre-season for the 2023/24 season.
