Manager Mikel Arteta may offer incoming Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice a new position.
Rice has mostly played defensive midfield or box-to-box midfield for West Ham United and England.
However, The Sun reports that as Rice prepares for his Arsenal medical, there are plans to change his role.
Rice would be on the left side of a three-man midfield instead of a two-man midfield in front of the defense.
He would be free to roam, as he is seen as more of a number eight than a number six or four in the park’s heart.
Arteta will form an offensive midfield trio with Rice, Martin Odegaard, and Kai Havertz.
