Barcelona considering Ousmane Dembele sale

Ousmane Dembele

Barcelona is allegedly considering selling Ousmane Dembele amid transfer interest from Chelsea.

Dembele, 26, has established himself as a first-team starter at the Blaugrana since joining from Borussia Dortmund in a €147 million move in 2017. So far, he has won seven trophies for them, including three La Liga crowns.

Last season, the 35-cap France international returned to his best as an ambidextrous winger known for his quickness and dribbling. In 35 games, he had eight goals and nine assists, helping his team to a domestic double.

Dembele, on the other hand, has surfaced as a transfer target for the Blues, with the player in the final year of his contract, according to Fichajes. Mauricio Pochettino’s side are eager to take advantage of the star’s reported €50 million release clause.

Meanwhile, Barcelona may decide to release their attacker since they need to raise more than €200 million in transfer fees to balance their finances. Xavi Hernandez, on the other hand, is eager to meet with the star to talk a better deal.

If the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner joins Chelsea this summer, he could be a hazardous acquisition. He may struggle to feel at ease due to the brutality of the Premier League, especially given his club’s dismal injury record.

Dembele has appeared in 185 games for Barcelona over the course of six seasons, scoring 40 goals and providing 43 assists. However, because to a slew of injuries, he has only started 112 games.

Chelsea, on the other side, currently has first-team wingers in Raheem Sterling, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Noni Madueke. They are apparently looking to offload players like Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech ahead of the new season.

Barcelona and a Brazilian youngster have agreed to a €40 million deal, according to reports

According to AS, Barcelona has agreed to a five-year contract with Vitor Roque valued at roughly €40 million. However, they must still offload a minimum of three stars in order to register the Athletico Paranaense ace.

Roque, 18, has emerged as one of the most exciting offensive talents in recent years as a result of his exploits for both club and country. He shined earlier this year, scoring six goals in eight South American U20 Championship games.

Should the left-footed striker join Barcelona this summer, he may be a wonderful addition. With Robert Lewandowski already in his thirties, Roque may be able to break into the club’s first-team plans in the near future.

In 61 games with Athletico Paranaense, Roque has scored 17 goals and contributed eight assists.
