Barcelona propose unofficial €25m offer to Messi, club given 10-day deadline by player
Barcelona has given Lionel Messi an unofficial offer totaling €25 million gross, amid rising concerns about missing out on Lionel Messi.
Marta Ramon (h/t Barca Centre) revealed this, and it comes amid reports from other sources that Messi may relocate to Saudi Arabia. Not to mention, Inter Miami is also interested in signing the veteran attacker this summer.
Fearing that he will go, Barcelona has made Messi an unofficial offer worth up to €25 million. It was previously rumored that the Argentine would become the highest-paid player in the Barcelona camp, but he will only be paid €1 more than Robert Lewandowski.
Aside from this news, another journalist, Matteo Moretto (through Reshad Rahman), reports Messi is eager to return to Camp Nou. He is aware of the desire, but his objective is to return to Barcelona after a two-year stint at Paris Saint-Germain.
Messi wants to return to Camp Nou and wear the historic number ten shirt once more. That would imply that Ansu Fati would have to give up his jersey or maybe leave the team at the end of the season.
Due to Fati’s dismal play after returning from injury, there have been numerous rumors linking him with a move away from Camp Nou this summer.
Fati is not the only Barcelona attacker who could be sold, with Raphinha and Ferran Torres all facing unclear futures at the club.
The departure of either of these stars could be critical in assisting Barcelona in making enough economic provisions.
However, the Blaugrana are waiting for La Liga to ratify the Financial Feasibility Plan before making a formal move for Messi. Before contemplating alternative possibilities, the Argentine has allowed the club 10 days to analyze the situation and make a bid.
