DONE DEAL: Atletico Madrid sign Leicester defender Caglar Soyuncu
Former Leicester City stopper Caglar Soyuncu has joined Atletico Madrid on a four-year deal.
After the King Power Stadium squad was relegated, the Turkish international opted to leave.
Because Soyuncu was out of contract, the Foxes were unable to re-sign him.
Soyuncu did not felt valued at Leicester despite playing 132 games since joining from Freiburg in 2018.
He was dropped by Brendan Rodgers for huge stretches of last season, despite the squad allowing goals at an alarming rate.
He will now have the opportunity to work with Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid, who is famed for getting the most out of defenders.
