Phil Jones, a former Manchester United defender, is in talks with Greek club Aris about restarting his career.
Jones, who joined United as a youth, left the club this summer when his contract expired.
Due to chronic knee ailments, the center back has not played competitively in several seasons.
According to Gazzetta, Aris is currently evaluating whether Jones can play a part for them next season.
Jones’ team has been in talks with the Salonika giants regarding a deal, with the 31-year-old eager to make the transfer.
Jones initially requested too much money, but it appears the parties are nearing an agreement.
