Heat star Jimmy Butler disappointing Shakira in NBA Finals Game 3
The Miami Heat performed admirably in Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the Denver Nuggets. They actually gave the Nuggets a fright late in the fourth quarter of a game that was supposed to be a blowout. However, their comeback effort was in vain, as Nikola Jokic and company escaped with a 109-94 triumph to grab a 2-1 series lead.
The stars descended in Miami for the Heat’s first home game of the NBA Finals. Shakira, a multi-Grammy Award winner, was one of the biggest names in the audience. The pop star, however, did not appear to be pleased with what she was witnessing, as Jimmy Butler and the Heat were completely overpowered by a Nuggets team ready to avenge their Game 2 setback in Denver:
Unsurprisingly, the cruel streets of Twitter pounced on Jimmy Butler for failing to lead his team to victory. The keyboard warriors were astounded that the Heat superstar did not show up to play in front of pop royalty:
To his credit, Jimmy finished with 28 points on 11-of-24 shooting. In 40 minutes, he also had two rebounds, four assists, a block, and one triple. His efforts were clearly in vain, as the Heat failed to capitalize on a golden opportunity on Wednesday night.
The good news for Butler and the company is that Game 4 will still take place in Miami, and they will have another chance to tie this series up. Jimmy hopes Shakira will be present for what could be a strong comeback performance for the Heat’s talisman.
