Argentina recently won the World Cup in Qatar 2022 under the leadership of Julián lvarez and Lautaro Martnez.
The teams representing Manchester City and Inter in this year’s Champions League final will include two Argentine forwards.
Both Julián lvarez and Lautaro Martnez just helped Argentina win the World Cup in Qatar 2022, and they now want to help their clubs win the Champions League.
Martnez led Inter to victory over AC Milan in the second leg of their semi-final matchup on Tuesday, while lvarez scored in City’s 4-0 home victory against Real Madrid on Wednesday.
Players from Germany and Bayern Munich
Sepp Maier, Paul Breitner, Hans-Georg Schwarzenbeck, Franz Beckenbauer, Gerd Müller, Uli Hoeness, and Jupp Kapellmann all helped West Germany win the World Cup and the European Cup in 1974.
Success at the World Cup and Real Madrid
Christian Karembeu and France won the World Cup in France 98 24 years later, in 1998. In the same year, Karembeu played for the Real Madrid team that won the Champions League.
In 2002, a different Real Madrid player did it.With Brazil, the late left-back Roberto Carlos won the World Cup in Korea and Japan. Madrid defeated Bayer Leverkusen 2-1 in the Hampton Park championship match to win the title of European champions once more.
A Real Madrid player won two of the most coveted awards in the sport more than ten years later, in 2014. Sami Khedira, a defensive midfielder, has played for successful teams both at home and abroad.
Due to an injury, Khedira was unable to play in Germany’s victory over Argentina in the 2014 World Cup final. Mario Gotze’s extra-time winner secured Germany’s victory.
Varane receives both awards
Raphael Varane, a current center back for Manchester United, had a great 2018. He won the World Cup and the Champions League. With Los Blancos, he won the Champions League in May 2018. He later won the World Cup with France in Russia.
