Declan Rice is supposedly on his way to West Ham from Arsenal during the current transfer window. However, completing the deal for the English midfielder’s signature has taken time.
While Rice is anxious to transfer, the negotiations have been stalled owing to disagreements about the payment method that Arsenal would utilize to fulfill the agreed-upon sum between the two teams.
Journalist Paul Brown provided an update on the current talks, stating that West Ham had made fresh requests that were not included in the original agreement. These extra requests include a sell-on provision, which might complicate negotiations between the two parties.
He says to Give Me Sport:
“In negotiations, West Ham have dug their heels in a little bit, and they still haven’t agreed on the payment structure and all the add-ons.” Several issues, in my opinion, remain to be resolved.
“Both parties appear to be fairly confident that they will not become a stumbling block to the transfer’s success.” But I believe West Ham has some requests that Arsenal has yet to meet.
“There’s even talk that they want a sell-on fee included in the deal, which I don’t think was part of the original negotiations at all.”
Only Arsenal’s Opinion
Rice will become an Arsenal player, and it is only a matter of time before that happens, but West Ham must be reasonable and allow the deal to proceed without incident.
While we will not reconsider the move, it may harm the relationship between the two teams.
