This week has been a hectic one in Kylian Mbappe’s life, as the superstar has been in the news about his future and other PSG-related issues.
The Mbappe controversy resurfaced this week ahead of the new season as a result of a press conference attended by PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, as speculation about his departure rises. The Ligue 1 winners’ owner indicated that the club does not want to lose the French star for free next summer and that if he does not sign a new contract, the striker would be sold this summer.
Then, according to L’Equipe, Al-Khelaifi alleged that Mbappe promised him that he would not leave PSG for free, something the 24-year-old does not recall making. As a result, the France international is alleged to be irritated with the club’s owner, and matters have not ended there.
Paris Saint-Germain players have now complained to the French club about comments Mbappe made in an interview with France Football published this week.
According to Sky Sports, six of Mbappe’s teammates phoned President Nasser Al-Khelaifi to express their displeasure with the superstar and his previous interview in which he was critical of the club, recent additions, and the French league.
