Liverpool in concrete talks over potential £50m transfer of “press resistant” star

Romeo Lavi

Liverpool are allegedly in talks with Southampton over the prospective sale of midfielder Romeo Lavia, who is valued at £50 million by his club this summer.

The Belgium international is currently one of Europe’s most exciting young talents, having impressed in his maiden season in the Premier League last season.

According to the Guardian, Arsenal is also interested in Lavia, but Florian Plettenberg has now tweeted an update on Liverpool’s pursuit of the 19-year-old.

See below for further information as it appears LFC are in continued concrete negotiations with Lavia, a press-resistant midfielder who appears to be a great match for Jurgen Klopp’s midfield…

Lavia appears to have a bright future in the game, and he would undoubtedly be a useful asset for Liverpool or Arsenal for many years to come.

Arsenal can offer Champions League football right away, but Lavia would profit more from joining the Reds for the time being, where he might get more consistent playing time while refining his game in the Europa League.
