Man Utd hero Brown impressed by Shaw season

Wes Brown, a Manchester United icon, has heaped praise on left-back Luke Shaw.

Brown, who won the Champions League twice with Manchester United, is well-versed in a variety of defensive situations.

Sir Alex Ferguson used the former England international as a center half and right back over the years.

On Shaw’s tenth anniversary with the club, Brown told MUTV: “We know him as an excellent left-back, but he’s been incredible [at center-back].”

You’d probably only play there a few times as a full-back until the other defenders returned from injury.

But, because Luke has performed so well, he is now the team’s second-choice center-back.

I’m not sure if he used to play there as a kid, but he just seems to know how to read the game extremely well. He’s good in the air, and his positioning is improving after a few games.”
