Mason Mount father key to Man Utd transfer breakthrough

Mason Mount’s father played a covert part in his entrance at Manchester United.

Mount, who had been with Chelsea since his youth team days, left the club this summer.

When the two clubs were unable to agree on a fee, Tony Mount stepped in to persuade the two parties to reach an agreement.

Chelsea and Manchester United returned to the negotiation table and agreed on a compromise fee for Mount.

He has completed his medicals and signed his contract at Old Trafford.

Mount will wear the iconic number 7 shirt for Manchester United next season.
