MJF Takes A Shot At Hiroshi Tanahashi
MJF Takes A Shot At Hiroshi Tanahashi
NJPW star Hiroshi Tanahashi challenged MJF to a title match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on the June 14 episode of AEW Dynamite. MJF appeared to turn down the fight in a backstage session, but AEW confirmed the match-up for the pay-per-view.
Tanahashi talked backstage after winning the NJPW New Japan Road event on June 18, and he repeatedly misspelled MJF’s name while sending a message to the champion.
MJF then responded by displaying a graph comparing internet users’ “interest” in him to that of Tanahashi over the previous 90 days. The AEW World Champion remarked that people know how to spell his name better than Tanahashi’s, which is why he wouldn’t be getting a bout.
It appears people worldwide know how to spell my name much better than yours . That’s why you aren’t getting a match 🤷🏻♂️ https://t.co/MFkCHcLmBM pic.twitter.com/DExXLB9QP7
