NBA reveals new details about in-season tournament

NBA reveals new details

The NBA’s moment in Europe has arrived.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the league has finalized some intriguing features for the new in-season tournament that will debut next NBA season.

The tournament’s Final Four will be held on December 7 and 9 in Las Vegas, according to Wojnarowski. Furthermore, statistics accumulated throughout the tournament will be counted for the league’s regular season (save for the tournament’s final game).

Given the incredible success of the NBA’s play-in tournament, which debuted in the 2020 Orlando bubble and has been with us ever since the league is looking to spice things up even more next season. We’ve already heard how the tournament will fit into the normal 82-game schedule.

While the in-season tournament will present a delicious opportunity for extra entertainment in the middle of the season (not to mention an additional trophy to vie for), there will be plenty of skeptics as well. However, the league is giving some significant incentives for the players.
