Newcastle will sign Tonali in a deal worth €70m with add-ons
According to Romano, Newcastle will buy AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali for €70 million with add-ons. His deal is for €7 million per year with €2 million in add-ons until 2029. However, this agreement will not be publicized today or this week.
The €70 million fee is the most ever paid for an Italian player. Tonali also set the greatest sale record in AC Milan history, surpassing Kaka’s €67m.
Tonali was huge for Milan, and Tonali was huge for Milan… He is a lifelong supporter of the club, a leader in the dressing room, and a key player in the team’s Serie A triumph in the 2012/13 season.
Sandro Tonali registered at least 8 more critical passes (62) than any other U23 player in Serie A last season, with only Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (14) creating more major opportunities than Tonali (12).
Tonali will undoubtedly experience an emotional farewell. Newcastle under Howe is up next.
