OFFICIAL: Andres Iniesta, 39, is leaving Vissel Kobe this summer

Iniesta declares “great joy and pride in the decision to come to Kobe” when announcing Vissel’s departure. He has been ordered to remain on active duty, therefore his final match will be against Noesta Sapporo on July 1.

The Spaniard still desires to participate and is aware that the goals of the Japanese team’s current coach do not include him.

Even though it’s not goodbye, Iniesta pledged that he will stay involved with the team after his retirement.
