OFFICIAL: James Milner joins Brighton from Liverpool

James Milner

James Milner is expected to join Brighton & Hove Albion after leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.

The Englishman joined the Reds in the summer of 2015 and quickly established himself as a vital component of the group both on and off the field, serving admirably as vice-captain.

While predominantly a midfielder, Milner also played as a full-back on occasion during his legendary time at Anfield, when he helped Jürgen Klopp’s side win seven trophies, including the Premier League and Champions League.

With 26 goals and 45 assists in the legendary No.7 jersey, he helped the Reds win the UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, Carabao Cup, Emirates FA Cup, and FA Community Shield.

Brighton has officially confirmed Milner will join them ahead of the 2023-24 season to begin the next chapter of his incredible career, which has included over 600 Premier League games.

Brighton City Council:

We’re delighted to announce that James Milner will join us on a one-year deal with a year’s option when his contract with Liverpool expires on 30 June.
