All-time Career of Alex Zayne

New Japan Pro Wrestling (2019-2021; 2021-present)

On November 11, 2019, at New Japan Showdown, Zayne made his NJPW debut. He and Aaron Solow competed in a tag team match against Amazing Red and T. J. Perkins, losing. Zayne has participated in the NJPW Strong series since March 2020 because he has been unable to work on NJPW events in Japan since the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. After a WWE Try-out, which he failed, as a result of his standout matches and performances, he left NJPW and signed with WWE in the spring of 2021.

As a result of budget cuts related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the fall of 2021, Zayne was let go by WWE. He rejoined NJPW Strong and won his comeback match at New Japan Showdown by defeating Ariya Davari. Later, on November 17, at the second NJPW’s XTRA show, Zayne lost his match with Will Ospreay. Zayne’s participation in 2022 Best of the Super Juniors in Japan was announced on May 1. Zayned did not make it to the tournament’s finals after finishing the tournament with a record of four wins and five losses. Zayne and Ace Austin formed a tag team during the competition. Austin joined the Bullet Club on June 3, though, and Zayne began to wonder about Austin’s motives before Austin and the Bullet Club laid them out. Austin and Chris Bey defeated Zayne on the IMPACT episode from June 20.
