Hyland DeAndre Jordan Jr., a professional basketball player for the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA), was born on July 21, 1988, in the United States. He participated in Texas A&M Aggies’ basketball team for one season.

The Los Angeles Clippers selected Jordan with the 35th overall pick in the second round of the 2008 NBA Draft. Before deciding to sign with the Dallas Mavericks in July 2018 as a free agent, he played ten seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers. In January 2019 he was traded to the New York Knicks, and in July of that same year, he signed with the Brooklyn Nets. In September 2021, he was traded to the Detroit Pistons, and the following month, he signed with the Los Angeles Lakers after agreeing to a contract buyout. In March 2022, the Lakers released him, and he later signed with the 76ers.

Jordan has twice led the league in rebounds and has been selected to the NBA All-Defensive Team three times. He received his first NBA All-Star selection in 2017. Jordan has a career field goal percentage of 67.31 percent, which holds the NBA record. When it comes to games played, rebounds, and blocks, he leads the Clippers’ entire franchise.

College Career

As a freshman, Jordan started 21 of Texas A&M’s 35 games. He had 1.3 blocks in 20 minutes per game played.

Professional Career

In the 2008 NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Clippers selected DeAndre with the 35th overall pick.

Due to injuries among the Clippers’ low-post players, the player was added to the starting lineup for the team’s matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves on January 19, 2009.

Even at All-Star Weekend’s Slam Dunk Contest, Jordan took part. He did not, however, make it past the first round.
