Personal Life

Tamara Tia is well known as the girlfriend of Liverpool footballer Joe Gomez. Gomez met his partner, Tamara, on a bus on his way to school in 2014. They have a son and live in Cheshire.

Controversy

Gomez was penalized by VAR after the first half after Kevin De Bruyne’s cross struck his arm, but the 23-year-old claims he was simply moving in his “natural motion.”

Joe acknowledges there were “frustrating decisions” in Liverpool’s 1-1 tie with Manchester City after VAR awarded a penalty for defensive handball.

City went behind to Mohamed Salah’s penalty spot opener, but responded admirably, with Kevin De Bruyne feeding Gabriel Jesus, who turned beautifully and scored the equalizer.

After VAR determined that Gomez touched De Bruyne’s cross in the box, the Belgian had a wonderful opportunity to put his team up from 12 yards.

But the England center-back avoided embarrassment when De Bruyne dragged his shot wide of the post, and the points were split at the Etihad.
