Jonathan Gresham claims he was inspired to become a professional wrestler when he was between the ages of six and nine. Sean Waltman (better known as X-Pac) and Bam Bam Bigelow were among his favorites. He was also influenced by Dean Malenko, Ikuto Hidaka, Tiger Mask, and Chris Benoit. Gresham, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, began training at the age of 16 at Curtis Hughes’ WWA4. Gresham made its debut in March 2005. He claims that his first match was against fellow trainee Heath Miller (later known as Heath Slater in WWE).

Jonathan Gresham went on to wrestle on the independent circuit, including appearances at WWE Hall of Famer Booker T’s Pro Wrestling Alliance (before it was renamed Reality Of Wrestling) in 2008 and 2010. He was a one-time Heavyweight Champion and Iron Man Champion in Booker T’s PWA. Gresham also wrestled in Combat Zone Wrestling for eight years, from 2010 to 2018. Gresham held the CZW World Heavyweight Championship once.

His career has taken him to international wrestling promotions such as Fight Club: PRO, Pro Wrestling ZERO1, Westside Xtreme Wrestling, 4 Front Wrestling, and Preston City Wrestling. Gresham’s achievements include earning his first tournament championship in 2011, at the French promotion N’Catch’s Super N’Cup Tournament. Gresham won the 2012 Tenka-Ichi Junior Tournament while competing in Pro Wrestling ZERO1. Gresham won the 2015 #1 Contendership Tournament for the DTU Alto Impacto Championship while wrestling for Westside Xtreme Wrestling.

Jonathan Gresham won 2016 Best Of The Best 15 Tournament while competing in Combat Zone Wrestling.
