Bolton Wanderers

Rob Holding participated in sports for Stalybridge Celtic Juniors[8] before turning seven and enrolling in the Bolton Wanderers youth program. On March 26, 2015, he made a loan move to League Two club Bury for the remainder of the 2014–15 campaign. On April 3, 2015, Holding made his lone Bury appearance as a 79th-minute substitute in a 2-0 away victory over Cambridge United.
