Sergio Aguero was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on June 2, 1988. He grew up in the capital city’s Villa del Parque district. He was always interested in football and began playing in the local streets when he was four years old. At the age of nine, he entered the youth program of Independiente, one of Argentina’s finest teams.

Aguero swiftly progressed through the ranks of Independiente, making his first-team debut at the age of 15. In the 2005-06 season, he became a regular starter for the squad and helped them win the Clausura competition. Aguero began his club career with the Argentine team Independiente, where he played from 2003 to 2006. In 2006, he moved to Europe to play for Atletico Madrid, where he quickly established himself as one of the game’s best young talents. Aguero scored 101 goals in 234 games for Atletico Madrid, becoming the club’s all-time greatest scorer in European tournaments. In 2010, he helped the squad win the UEFA Europa League, finishing as the tournament’s best scorer.

Aguero joined Manchester City in the English Premier League in 2011 for a cost of £35 million. He quickly established himself as a major player for City, scoring two goals in his first game, and finished the season with 30 goals in all competitions.

He went on to become one of the Premier League’s most prolific goal-scorers, scoring 184 goals in 275 appearances for Manchester City. During his stint at the club, he helped the squad win five Premier League crowns, one FA Cup, and six League Cups.
