Wrestling Federation of the World

The Powers of Pain were first managed by Tito Santana, and they feuded with WWF World Tag Team Champions Demolition (Ax and Smash), who had defeated Strike Force (Santana and Rick Martel) for the belts and then wounded Martel (kayfabe). The Powers of Pain were introduced as mercenaries to aid Martel and Santana in exacting vengeance on Demolition for both the title loss and Martel’s injury. They were afterward controlled by The Baron. They quickly dumped the Baron and took Demolition’s manager, Mr. Fuji, in a double turn that turned them into Demolition heels and the increasingly popular Demolition faces.

The Powers of Pain were split up after a long feud in which they failed to win the titles, and The Barbarian was placed under the direction of Bobby Heenan. He’d change his appearance, going from his Road Warrior-style haircut and face paint to growing out his hair, and clothing in fur, and entering the ring wearing a helmet with reindeer-like antlers and a skull. As part of the Heenan Family’s feud with the “correctional officer,” he temporarily competed in singles competition, defeating Tito Santana at WrestleMania VI and faced the Big Boss Man at Royal Rumble 1991. Soon after, he partnered with fellow Family member Haku in tag team matches until he left the WWF.

Wrestling at the World Championships

When he first joined WCW in early 1992, he formed a villainous stable with Tony Atlas and Cactus Jack. Atlas eventually departed the promotion, and Jake Roberts briefly joined the group. They had a feud with then-World Champion Ron Simmons, whom Barbarian challenged unsuccessfully at Halloween Havoc 1992. They were also up against Sting, Barry Windham, Dusty Rhodes, and Nikita Koloff. He shared the WCW United States Tag Team Championship with Dick Slater for a short time before the belts were retired one month later.

He returned to the WWF in mid-1994 as Sionne, one-half of the new edition of The Headshrinkers alongside the original Headshrinker Fatu, until he left again in mid-1995.

Vailahi returned to WCW in late 1995, wearing a mask and reuniting with his previous Powers of Pain tag team partner, The Warlord. They were known as the Super Assassins, and they were led by Colonel Robert Parker. No mention of their old identities was ever made on television, and the squad did not last long. He later rejoined Haku (now known as Meng) as the Faces of Fear. They were members of Kevin Sullivan’s Dungeon of Doom and worked together semi-regularly for the rest of their time in WCW, but they split up and feuded briefly in 1998 and 1999. They challenged for the WCW World Tag Team Title multiple times but were never successful.

In the summer of 1999, following The Barbarian’s brief rivalry with Meng, Jimmy Hart founded The First Family, a new heel stable. Barbarian, Hugh Morrus, Brian Knobbs, and Jerry Flynn were in the stable. After only two months, the stable had disintegrated. Barbarian was released from his WCW contract in September 1999 as part of new WCW Senior Vice President Bill Busch’s cost-cutting measures.

The Barbarian’s Net Worth

The Net worth of The Barbarian is still yet to be revealed. His salary is under review.

The Barbarian’s Wife, Marriage, Children

The Barbarian and his wife, Seini Tonga, have seven children. Peter, his eldest son, is an outstanding college football player who signed with Brigham Young University in February 2005. However, Peter withdrew from BYU during the early phases of his contract to play closer to his home in Charlotte, North Carolina. Peter signed a letter of intent to attend Wingate University in Wingate, North Carolina.

Sione is connected to WCAU sportscaster Vai Sikahema, Philadelphia Eagles running back Reno Mahe, and Rock Star: INXS contestant Jordis Unga, among others. He is the uncle and trainer of TNA Gut Check winner Lei’D Tapa, who wrestled in TNA for much of the following year.

In his spare time, he manages a modest construction company in his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Sione was mentioned in a class action complaint filed against WWE in July 2016, alleging that wrestlers sustained traumatic brain injuries during their tenure and that the corporation disguised the dangers of harm. The claim is being handled by attorney Konstantine Kyros, who has previously represented WWE in several prior litigation.
