Real Madrid contact Bayern Munich for Alphonso Davies, Germans open to negotiate

Alphonso Davies

Real Madrid is looking to strengthen their club on numerous fronts during the summer transfer season, and they have set aside a record sum for their efforts.

According to reports, Madrid is prepared to sell €300-400 million this summer, knowing that the team will be unable to contend without significantly more depth.

Four of their forwards have already departed the club this summer, including Marco Asensio, Eden Hazard, Mariano Diaz, and, most notably, Karim Benzema.

While it is obvious that they will spend a lot of money to bring in many attackers, Madrid must also budget for other positions, such as left-back.

Ferland Mendy has been placed on the bench, and even if he does stay, Real Madrid has already signed Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich as their next star fullback.

According to MARCA, Real Madrid has already approached Bayern Munich about a summer deal for Davies. The Bavarian Titans have not rebuffed their approaches.

According to the report, Madrid has already traveled to Munich twice to talk with Davies’ entourage as they prepare for the move. The Canadian is under contract through 2025 and is apparently unwilling to extend it.

Davies’ attacking prowess could also benefit Vinicius Jr, who has been carrying the left-wing responsibility alone for the last two years.

Furthermore, Madrid is concerned about the left-back position, especially given the number of injuries this season. Mendy, David Alaba, Nacho, Antonio Rudiger, and even Eduardo Camavinga have all played there.

Davies, on the other hand, will not be cheap, with a price tag anticipated to surpass €60-70 million. However, at 22, the Canadian would be a long-term solution to a problem that has plagued Madrid for several years.
