Ricky Starks Wins Men’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament On 7/15 Collision

CM Punk was startled at tonight’s AEW Collision, as Ricky Starks defeated the legend to win the Men’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament.

The fight began with both superstars going at it right away when Punk came to a huge crowd reaction. Starks began taunting Punk with his characteristic “go to sleep” position after the two exchanged a few headlock takedowns.


Punk gradually gained momentum after some more back-and-forth between the two, escaping some DDTs late and even taunting Starks by dodging a flying elbow with a smile. Punk hit a hurricanrana from the top late in the fight, but Starks was able to roll through most of it himself. After briefly swapping roll up pins, Stark rolled up the pair and used the ropes for leverage, trapping Punk and winning the match.

Following the match, Starks promptly rushed up the ramp, stealing the Men’s trophy from Jushin Liger (who was on site to present it), briefly raising it up, and sprinting away, leaving Punk and Liger astonished for various reasons.
