Sergio Busquets to make decision between Inter Miami and Saudi Arabia

Sergio Busquets is expected to make a decision on his future today, as he considers joining Lionel Messi at Inter Miami.

After 15 years with Barcelona, Busquets was given an emotional farewell this summer, but he is determined to continue playing.

The 34-year-old midfielder and his family have been considering offers, including hefty contracts from Saudi Arabia, and Mundo Deportivo reports that he will announce his next move on Friday.

He is said to be deciding between three teams in the MLS: Al Hilal, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr, and Messi’s Inter Miami.

Barcelona has been dealt another setback, with various rumors claiming that Sergio Busquets may leave Camp Nou. The experienced midfielder is said to have told the club of his intention to leave at the conclusion of the season.

Barcelona’s coaching staff wanted to keep Busquets, but the player refused to renew his contract, which entailed a considerable salary drop.

Toni Juanmarti, in the middle of the Busquets exit whispers, has emphasized in his recent tweet that the midfielder may not necessarily join a Saudi Arabian club this summer.

Indeed, Busquets has recently been heavily connected with a move to the Middle East, with Saudi Arabian football hoping to entice him as part of their plan to improve the league.

However, according to Juanmarti, there is no assurance that the Barcelona veteran will join a Saudi Arabian team. He has opted to leave Barcelona, but he has yet to make a definitive choice on his future.

According to the Spanish journalist, Busquets’ family and the player himself prefer joining Major League Soccer (MLS) club Inter Miami. He has been linked with a move to the club for some time now, and a move could be on the cards this summer.

Because Miami has a sizable Hispanic population, the language should not be an issue. The club, which is partly owned by David Beckham, has recently attracted some of Europe’s best-established footballers.

As of right now, nothing has been decided. We can anticipate the athlete weighing his choices in the next weeks. But one thing is certain: Busquets will leave the club at the conclusion of the season, forcing the Catalan club to look for a new midfielder.
