Tottenham defender Ryan Sessegnon takes surgery option

Tottenham defender Ryan Sessegnon has undergone hamstring surgery in order to save his season.

The 23-year-old will miss the start of the season but wants to be ready in the following weeks.

According to The Mail, Sessegnon has been dealing with the problem since the end of last season.

When Sessegnon regains fitness, new manager Ange Postecoglou will most likely give him an opportunity.

The Australian, on the other hand, wanted to test the youthful wing back during pre-season.

Because of the timing of his operation, Sessegnon is unlikely to leave the Spurs this summer.
