Tottenham receive offer for defender with decision to leave in player’s hands

Davinson Sanchez

Tottenham Hotspur has received a bid from Galatasaray for defender Davinson Sanchez, with the Premier League club willing to allow the defender to depart this summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the verbal offer is approximately €9 million, and the player has the option to leave Spurs. Two or three more clubs are interested in the 27-year-old Colombian, who appears to be on his way out.

Ange Postecoglou, the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur, is looking for a new center-back before the new season begins, and if Sanchez stays, his game time will most certainly be cut from the previous season.

Edmond Tapsoba of Bayer Leverkusen is still on Tottenham’s list of center-back targets, according to Fabrizio Romano, and talks to bring the defender to North London are thought to be ongoing. Spurs are also in talks with Wolfsburg’s Micky van de Ven, and the Premier League club will only buy one of them dependent on who is the cheapest, according to the transfer journalist.

Spurs will see many changes this summer as Postecogclou wants to make an immediate effect, with the Tottenham backline undergoing a major overhaul.
