According to sources, the winner of the Tour de France would get a guaranteed prize of €11,000. The runner-up who placed second to the champion will get a guaranteed (€5.5k) prize. The cyclist who finishes third in the competition will receive a portion of the €2.8k. Fourth-place finishers receive a €1.5k purse share.
