Nazim Sadykhov has only lost once in his MMA career, and that was in his first professional fight when he was submitted by a rear naked choke. He appeared to face the same fate on Saturday at UFC Vegas 77.
Terrance “T. Wrecks” McKinney is famed for his first-round knockouts, and he stopped Sadykhov less than a minute into the first round.
Sadykhov was trapped in a body lock and fought the submission for the remainder of the first round. In the second round, he brilliantly trapped McKinney’s arm behind his back and finished things fast with his own rear-naked choke.

Sadykhov won his ninth fight in a row, and he appears to be another contender for Longo And Weidman MMA, which is home to Aljamain Sterling. The current Bantamweight champion was on hand to cheer his buddy at the UFC Apex.
Sadykhov added that another reason the fight was meaningful for him was the opportunity to avenge another of his comrades, Matt Frevola. Frevola is on a three-fight winning streak, but his most recent defeat was at UFC 263 to McKinney.
“I’m the most loyal friend you could find. [Matt] Frevola I got you my brother. I got you. I waited 8 weeks to say that, feels great,” Sadykhov said. “Obviously, I respect Terrance McKinney. I didn’t have any feud with him to begin with, but hey listen the world is a boomerang so that victory came back around to us.”
